أدى مئات الفلسطينيين صلاة الجمعة, في باحات المسجد الأقصى، رغم القيود المشددة التي فرضتها قوات الاحتلال في محيط مدينة القدس، وحملة الاعتقالات الواسعة التي طالت نشطاء مقدسيين الليلة الماضية.
وتمكن المقدسيون اليوم الجمعة، من فتح أبواب مبنى الرحمة في المسجد الأقصى المبارك، والمغلق من قبل قوات الاحتلال منذ عام 2003, ضمن محاولاتها المتواصلة لفرض التقسيم المكاني, وذلك بمشاركة المفتي العام للقدس والديار الفلسطينية، الشيخ محمد حسين، ورئيس وأعضاء مجلس الأوقاف الإسلامية ومشايخ القدس.
وأحبط المقدسيون على مدار الأسبوع الماضي محاولات وضع الاحتلال للأقفال على البوابة الحديدية المؤدية إلى باب الرحمة، وقاموا بكسر الأقفال لثلاث مرات على التوالي، وسط دعوات لتصعيد الحراك المقدسي ضد انتهاكات الاحتلال بحق المسجد الأقصى.
وترصد “عربي21” النفير العام الذي ساد المسجد الأقصى الجمعة، تلبية للدعوات الفلسطينية والإسلامية، إلى جانب لحظات دخول المصلين لمصلى باب الرحمة لأول مرة منذ 16 عاما.
